Ann Jane Gowdy (née Ross) was born in Inverness, Scotland in 1842, the daughter of Daniel Ross and Jane Farmer. She arrived in New Zealand in 1864, and married Edwin Williamson Gowdy six months later. She died on 16th November 1908 in Dunedin and was buried here on 21st November 1908. |
