John Ferguson (c. 1840 – 1920) John Thomas Ferguson was born circa 1840 in Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland. He was the son of George Ferguson and Margaret Mills McGiffen. He married Ann Dunlop Cumming in Maybole on 1st October 1858. His occupation was as a warper. He sailed from Glasgow with his wife and children on 10th December 1879 on the Oamaru and arrived at Port Chalmers on 29th March 1880. John died at his home at 10 Rose Street, Kaikorai, Dunedin. |
