Susannah Balderson Campbell was born in 1841 at Glasgow, Scotland. She came to Dunedin and married Colin Campbell in 1864. They had thirteen children, several of whom are also buried in the Northern Cemetery. Their eldest son, Colin Leander Campbell, was drowned when the SS Tararua was wrecked (28 April 1881). Susannah and Colin lived for most of their lives at Port Chalmers, and Colin is buried in the cemetery there.
