Mary Fox was born Mary White on 22 October 1856 in Moreton Essex, England. Her Father was Charles White, a carpenter and her mother was Marianne Hampton. She married George Fox on 22 October 1856 in North Adelaide. The couple had 10 children between 1857 and 1878 and moved to Dunedin about 1864. She died 20 August 1917 at 683a Castle St, Dunedin.
