Albert Peacock Alloo (1894-1955)

Albert obtained a job as a law clerk in his second year at Otago Boys High School. He never returned to school, but sat matriculation and passed with high marks. He later studied accountancy at Otago University. Upon returning from World War I, he gained a law qualification. In 1920 he married Pansy Susan Bell. They had two sons. Albert practised law for more than 30 years; he was joined by his two sons and the firm became Albert Alloo & Sons. Albert died in Dunedin on 21 July 1955.
