Charles Finlayson (died 1901) Charles Finlayson was the licensee of the London Hotel in Dunedin from 1886 to 1891. The hotel was first licensed in 1864 when it was situated on the south side of Jetty Street, three doors from Princes Street. In 1885 it moved to premises on the corner of Jetty Street and Princes Street. Charles died at his residence 114 Dowling Street on 13 September 1901, aged 62 years, and was buried in the Northern Cemetery. — Other recorded burials at this site: |
