|
||
Marianne Nicolson married Samuel Moore in Hobart where she was living with her grandfather, the Rev. Dr Nicolson. A year later, Samuel brought his wife to New Zealand, where he eventually became headmaster of Waikouaiti Public School. Marianne had three children: Walter, Reginald, and Mabel. Both of her sons became doctors. She survived her husband by many years, and died in 1928. Her mother's grave is also in the Northern Cemetery. -- Other burials recorded at the same site: Samuel MOORE d. 1898. -- See also: Mary Ann NICOLSON d. 1888 (mother of Marianne). Jennifer Morgan |
