Frank Ernest Hercus (1874-1890)

Frank Hercus was born on 20th May 1874 in Dunedin, a son of George and Eliza (née Elder) Hercus. He attended Arthur Street School, the Normal School and Otago Boys High School, where he enrolled in 1887. He was still a pupil at the time of his unexpected death on 26th September 1890, aged 16. Frank is buried here in the cemetery with his parents, his brother Gowan, his niece Helen and his nephew Roy.
